Washington, NC — Introducing the latest innovation from Sesame Technologies, Inc., the Diamond Engine Shield EX – Vertical. At NBAA-BACE 2024, Sesame is proud to unveil the second variation of the Diamond Engine Shield EX, expanding the revolutionary aircraft engine protection device’s applications to super-midsize and large aircraft.

The Diamond Engine Shield EX – Vertical is the newest member of the Executive Series GSE family. The device was preceded by the Diamond Engine Shield EX – Horizontal which was launched at NBAA-BACE 2023 along with other members of the product line.

The horizontal engine shield was the first collapsible pole-installable engine protection device able to be installed from the ground by a single crew member. However, its applications were limited to aircraft with low engine placements, including Cessna Citations and other light-to-midsize jets.

Now, this revolutionary solution is available to a larger range of aircraft.

The vertical engine shield is designed specifically for super-midsize and large jets with space between the trailing edge of the wings and the leading edge of aft-mounted engines, including most Gulfstreams and Challengers.

Like its predecessor, the vertical engine shield is constructed of premium raw materials, including carbon fiber, high-temperature silicones, 316L stainless steel, and a synthetic outer layer, providing durability to withstand extreme conditions. Both the horizontal and vertical shields are available for intake and exhaust installation.
