Our Flightpath: 2024 Year in Review

It’s been a high-flying year here at Sesame Technologies, Inc. While we can’t share everything we have planned for 2025, we wanted to look back at the past year’s journey and share a brief glimpse of our flightpath going into the new year.

NBAA-BACE 2024

This year, we attended NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas, Nevada for the second time. We greatly enjoyed connecting with OEM manufacturers and aircraft owners, managers, pilots, and maintenance personnel.

Our team led in-depth hands-on product demonstrations, including installing our newest product into engines suspended 12 feet above our booth’s floor.

Diamond Engine Shield EX – Vertical

Not only did we attend NBAA-BACE, we also launched the newest member of the Executive Series GSE family, the Diamond Engine Shield EX – Vertical, at the conference.

The vertical shield is designed specifically for super-midsize and large jets with space between the trailing edge of the wings and the leading edge of aft-mounted engines. Intake and exhaust variations of the vertical shield are available.

The vertical shield is currently available for many Gulfstreams and Challengers. For the most up-to-date information about our engine shield offerings, reach out to our team.

New Products

Bold innovation is the heart of our operations. Our team is constantly developing new solutions to ensure we offer the best protection possible. Reflecting this spirit of innovation, the Diamond Engine Shield EX – Vertical was not the only product we launched this year.

A total of eight new members of the Executive Series GSE are now available. Aside from the intake and exhaust variants of the vertical shield, we launched four new storage solutions, a total air temperature cover, and an installation adapter. These new products follow the bulk of the Executive Series GSE family of products, which launched at NBAA-BACE 2023.

The Executive Series GSE bags and storage solutions are designed to store, organize, and protect the product line while preserving space in the aircraft. The available storage solutions include those designed specifically for storing shields, barriers, and poles, as well as a bag for small avionics equipment such as pitot, TAT, and AOA covers.

The FTC-EX-102B is a total air temperature (TAT) sensor cover that provides protection frompotential damage and FOD intrusion to the TAT sensor. It is designed to fit the Collins Aerospace fuselage-mounted TAT sensor, 102 configuration “B”.

G450 Pitot Cover Install Adapter is a quick-connect tool that allows aircraft personnel to safely install and remove any of the Executive Series GSE pitot covers from the ground. It is specifically designed to install and remove covers from the nose of the Gulfstream GIV and its derivatives including the G400 and G450. These aircraft feature hard-to-reach pitot probes high on the nose. Though specifically designed for these aircraft, it can also be used for any aircraft with similar pitot probe placement. Gulfstream GIV aircraft were produced until 2018 and are not to be confused with GVII aircraft, which includes the new G400.

We also revisited our design for the Executive Engine Exhaust Barrier, adding a new handle to increase ease of use. All barriers purchased after the first week of November 2024 include this feature. Our Diamond Engine Shield EX – Horizontal offerings doubled as we developed models for more aircraft. The horizontal shield is now available for most of its planned applications. New Services

Since our inception, we have designed and built custom solutions for a wide variety of clients within the military and commercial industries.

This year we began offering evaluation and training services to the business aviation industry. Our initial offerings of these services were limited to customers interested in providing feedback on the Diamond Engine Shield EX – Horizontal. Now, going into the new year, it is expanded to all Executive Series GSE customers including business aircraft owners, pilots, managers, and business aviation organizations. These services bring our expert engineers to you, your hangar, and your aircraft.

While most aviation ground support equipment is prescribed based on aircraft type or model, our evaluations go beyond. During evaluations, our team works with you to understand your needs and pain points to determine the best ground support solutions for you. We’ll match you to existing solutions or develop new solutions that don’t just fit your aircraft but fit your unique situation.

Training services walk you and your team through the proper usage and care of our products. From installation and removal to care, maintenance, and best practices for safety and efficiency, our team is here to help you get the most out of your Executive Series GSE products.

Recognitions

In July, we earned a spot in the Boeing Premier Bidder Program, which recognizes consistently high-performing Boeing Commercial Airplanes suppliers, joining approximately 130 suppliers to have met and sustained the high-quality, delivery, and performance criteria required for inclusion.

The Diamond Engine Shield EX was selected as a semifinalist for the “Coolest Thing Made in NC” competition, hosted by the NC Chamber in September. We were one of 15 small businesses from a pool of more than 100 competitors to be selected.

We are incredibly proud of these achievements which reflect our commitment to high quality, bold innovation, and unparalleled customer experience.

The View from the Cockpit

We are charting an exciting course for 2025.

Our R&D and engineering personnel are innovating new solutions and experimenting with new premium materials. Our manufacturing facilities have undergone a transformation process to support the demand for the Diamond Engine Shield EX. We are also developing new customer service tools so that we can better serve our customers online and in person at tradeshows and industry events.

We’re excited to continue building on the Executive Series GSE’s momentum.
